In November 2021, we were asked to deliver Unity workshops to immersive arts MA students, at Liverpool John Moores university. Using our design approach and sprint methodologies, we created a two-day laboratory on: creating cinematic sequences and creating Augmented Reality, using the Unity game engine.
Our first session gave students access to assets to build fantasy worlds and the tools to create a cinematic workflow. Together we developed a workflow to output cinema sequences using the game engine.
The second session covered how to implement Unity’s AR Foundation to build augmented reality experience and how to publish these to app stores. We also explore how to use Lens Studio, Spark AR and Adobe Aero.
